Lease Accounting (Jedox)
The new approach to lease accounting presents accountants with challenges in both financial/management reporting and budgeting. Where operating leases were once accounted for as expenses on a straight-line basis over the life of the leases, they now involve the computation of lease interests, lease liabilities (current and non-current), right-of-use assets and depreciation.
From a lessee perspective, Jedox, based on its in-memory OLAP database and functionalities, automates the computation, generates journal entries to facilitate financial close and generates reports for further analysis.
